A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on December 16, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted from 10:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. There were eighty-two children in the care of twelve staff. No medication is being administered at this time. Eight children and staff records were reviewed and updated along with three Board Officers. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
Areas observed were: educational center activities, story-time, free choice activity, outside play, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, lunch and nap. Interactions between the children and staff were observed as positive and the children seemed comfortable with their daily routine and schedule.
