Technical assistance was offered regarding the following: Weekly menu, updating the central registry results before expiration, emergency drills.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 2/2/21. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 2 children (1 point) and 1 caregiver present. The inspector viewed documents and emergency supplies virtually. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 1 caregiver's records to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Based on record review, the provider did not conduct monthly emergency evacuation drills. Evidence: A review of the emergency drill records showed that an evacuation drill was not completed for the month of January 2021.
Plan of Correction:
I will complete a make up drill in February.
