Comments:
An unannounced Renewal Inspection took place on January 18, 2023, between the hours of 10:25am and 12:15pm. There were three (3) classrooms observed with a total of 53 children present with 8 staff supervising within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed playing with manipulatives, puzzles, drawing, preparing for lunch, outdoor activities and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, medication, required posted documents, first aid kit, and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice.

Based on observation, the electrical outlets did not have protective covers. Evidence: The Lotus Classroom had an electrical outlet without protective covers.
Plan of Correction:
I will get the cover on the outlet now. Violation was corrected during the inspection.

Description:
Based on record review and interview, the center failed to ensure that the shelter in place procedures were practiced a minimum of twice per year. Evidence: 1.There was no documentation of shelter in place procedures being practiced in 2022. 2. Provider acknowledged the shelter in place procedures not been practiced during 2022.
Plan of Correction:
I have them on our schedule and I will ensure we practice the shelter in place procedures at least twice in 2023.
