Comments:
A Code compliance inspection was initiated on 8/29/2023 and concluded on 8/29/2023. There were nine children present with two staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of written disclosure to parents 7 guardians, staff to child ratios, staffing, procedures, transportation, background checks, and special care. A total of five child records and four staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 10:50 am and concluded at 1:10 pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on observation the center failed to ensure the fact that it is exempt from licensure and has posted the fact that it is exempt from licensure in a visible location on the premises. Evidence: The center did not have posted the fact that it is exempt from licensure.

Description:
(REPEAT VIOLATION) Based on observation the center failed to ensure that the ratios of one staff member to four children ages zero to 16 months was followed. Evidence: During the time that the inspector was at the center there were nine children in care with two staff. The youngest child was ten months old. The ratio for 0-16 months old is one staff to four children.

Based on record reviews the center failed to ensure that a person trained and certified in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) will be present at the child day center whenever children are present or at any other location in which children attending the child day center are present. Evidence: The two staff present during the inspection (staff #1 & 2) have a first aid and CPR certificate that expired 3/12/2023.
