Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 1/24/2024. There were 68 children, ages 8 months-5 years, 11 staff and 1 administrative staff present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, environment and equipment, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. Medications for children were observed during the inspection. A total of 5 children?s records, # staff records and 6 medications were reviewed. The children were observed during restroom breaks, handwashing, active time on the playground, lunch and naptime. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 9:55am and departed the center at 11:49am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.
Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that the required nonabsorbent surface for diapering was used.
Evidence: The changing pad in the Infant 1 room was torn approximately 1 inch near the top middle of the changing pad and the padding was exposed.
Plan of Correction:
Provider will replace diaper changing pad.
