A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 08/14/2023 from 12:40pm to 1:45pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 6 children ages 18 months old to age 2 years old supervised by 3 staff. The physical plant, outdoor playground area, programming, attendance, menus, 5 staff records, 3 children?s records, 1 medications with corresponding authorization records, emergency drills, emergency supplies, and policies were reviewed. Children were observed napping. There was an adequate number of staff present with current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT), CPR and First Aid, and Daily Health Observation (DHO) training.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
