A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on December 3, 2019 from approximately 1:15 PM to 3:25 PM to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The child to staff ratios were deemed in compliance with licensing standards. The following staff-to-child ratios were observed in the classrooms: Infants 2:7, Toddlers 1:4, 2 year olds 1:12 (napping), 3 year olds 1:9, 4 year olds 1:8. The staff were observed to be engaged with the children in age appropriate activities and to be meeting the needs of the children in care. All areas of the facility used for child care were inspected. The facility had the required postings in the facility. The first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Emergency response drill records were reviewed and found complete. The Emergency Preparedness plan is current. Health Inspection: 3/13/19. Fire Inspection: 10/10/19. Medications and authorizations were reviewed. There were staff present who are certified in medication administration, daily health observation, First Aid, and CPR. Five children's records, one agent's record, and five staff records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
