A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 11/2/2023 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 22 children present with 6 staff supervising.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
Based on a review of five staff records and interview, the vendor did not ensure that one staff annually completed the department's health and safety update course as required.
Evidence: 1. The record of staff #5 (date of employment: 8/13/2013) did not include a 2022 or 2023 annual health and safety update certificate of completion. 2. The vendor acknowledged that the certificates were not in the record on 11/2/2023.
Plan of Correction:
The staff member completed the required annual health update. The certificate has been placed in the file.
