Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 12/13/2022 and concluded on 12/13/2022. There were a total of 10 children ( 33 points) observed with 3 caregivers present. The children were engaged in the following: toy play, blocks, and legos. The home, 3 child records, 4 caregiver/household member records, evacuation drills, and emergency supplies were inspected. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Violations:
Standard #: 22.1-289.036-A
Description: Based on a review of household records, every household member shall undergo a background check every 5 years after the initial background.
Evidence: The provider did not obtain a central registry search every five years from the last search. Household #1central registry search was dated 9/20/2017, it expired 9/2022.

Plan of Correction: The provider will complete the central registry form for the household member and forward the results to the inspector once received.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-830-A
Description: Based on a review of emergency drills and provider interview, the emergency evacuation procedures shall be practiced monthly.
Evidence: There was no documentation of emergency drills for the months of July, August, September, October and November 2022. The provider acknowledged that she did not complete the drills.

Plan of Correction: A emergency drill will be conducted in December and monthly going forward.
