Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 06/08/2020. The provider was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection. The provider emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed two children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with the applicable standards of law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The licensing inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Thank you.
Based on record review, the provider did not complete monthly emergency drills. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed the drill log, and documentation was missing for March, April, and May.

The provider will make sure all emergency drills are completed and documented.

Description:
Based on interview, the provider and substitute did not have current certification in CPR. Evidence: 1. The provider reviewed two records and the CPR expired in 07/2019. Provider stated she was having a difficult time finding a trainer to recertify her in CPR.

The provider said she would continue to seek out a trainer and get the training as soon as possible.
