An unannounced health and safety inspection was conducted on September 13, 2022, to determine the center's compliance with subsidy standards. The inspection begin at approximately 10:30 AM and concluded at 1:30 PM. There were 75 children present, with 12 staff supervising. The center's director was present for the inspection. During the tour, the inspector observed the children participating in a table activities, circle time, playing outside, napping, tummy time, and interacting with peers and staff. The inspector observed 9 classrooms, playground, buses, and restrooms. The classrooms are equipped with age and stage appropriate materials. The center's first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Liability insurance, health inspection, and drills were all in compliance. A total of 5 child records, and 5 staff records were reviewed.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
