Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 04/18/2024. There were 47 children, ages 5 years-11 years, and 4 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staffing and supervision, programs, emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed arriving to the program and having an afternoon snack. A total of 5 children?s records and 1 medication were reviewed. The inspector arrived at the center at 2:45 pm and departed at 4:00 pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.
Based on document review, the center failed to ensure that shelter in place procedures shall be practiced a minimum of twice per year.
Evidence: There was only one shelter in place drill practiced in 2023.
Plan of Correction:
Two shelter in place drills will be practiced each year.
