Technical Assistance:
The Code of Virginia states: Each building that was built before 2015 and that houses a child day program that is licensed pursuant to this chapter or any program described in subdivision A 4, B 1, or B 5 of ? 22.1-289.030 that serves preschool-age children shall be equipped with at least one carbon monoxide detector.
The licensee was not incompliance with the above requirement during today?s inspection.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review and interviews..
A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 11/23/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records, 2 staff records and 1 household member record were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review and interview, the provider has not obtained documentation of a physical exam for each child within the first 30 days of enrollment. Evidence: Child #2 (date of enrollment: 10/13/2021) file does not contain documentation of a physical exam. The provider confirmed that this family has not yet provided a physical exam.

I will text the parents today and tell them they need to bring it in next week.
