An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The inspector arrived at 11:00am and concluded the inspection at approximately 12:50pm. The center's director and owners were present and assisted the inspector throughout the inspection. The census for today's inspection consisted of 49 children in the direct care of 15 staff members. Upon arrival, the children were engaged in a variety of activities. Each classroom was inspected and formal observations were completed throughout. In the infant classroom, feeding procedures, hand washing, and diapering procedures were observed. The toddlers were observed during lunch. Staff were observed assisting with feedings and later preparing the classroom for nap time. The preschool children were observed eating lunch. The preschool children in the upstairs room were observed playing in centers, taking bathroom breaks, washing hands, and preparing to eat lunch. Staff were observed assisting the children throughout. The center is equipped with age and stage appropriate materials and equipment for the children's use. All areas where the children receive care were inspected. The center had the following posted: license, daily schedules, emergency numbers, evacuation maps, menu, and various parent information. The center?s first aid kit and non-emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Transportation is not provided at this time. Medication is administered and three medications and authorizations were reviewed. Five children's records, five staff records, and officer members' background checks were reviewed today. The most recent evacuation drill was documented on 02/28/20. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented on 03/05/20.
