A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on March 7, 2023 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of entrance, 97 children were in care with 15 staff members present. Children were observed during diapering, handwashing, playing with toys, and engaged in group activities and outdoor play time. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Based on record review, all staff who work with children did not have current certification resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care within 90 days of employment. Evidence: 1. Staff #2 (Date of hire-09/07/2022) did not have current certification resuscitation appropriate to the ages of the children in care.
Plan of Correction:
The staff member will complete a CPR course.
