A monitoring inspection was conducted on 09/26/2023 between the hours of approximately 9:30 am and 10:30 am. There were 9 children present, ranging in ages from 7 months to 4 years, with 3 caregivers supervising. At the time of entrance, children were observed while working with puzzles and sorting color caps. Later, the children cleaned up and sat in a circle for their morning meeting with the provider. The morning meeting started with the children and the Provider singing the "Good morning" song in Spanish (Buenos dias). With the help of songs, pictures and picture books they also reviewed the weather, days of the week, months of the year, and shapes; in English and Spanish. By the time of exit, the children were reviewing the capitals of states of the United States. The assistants were observed supporting the provider and the children by helping them with supervision, bathroom breaks and feeding an infant.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. According to the provider, there were no medications on site on this date. A total of 2 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
