A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today from 11:45am through 2:15pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 38 children were present with 8 caregivers. The children were observed transitioning from lunch to naptime and infants were observed interacting with the teacher and engaging in floor play. The physical plant, outdoor playground area, buses, programming, menus, emergency procedures, 6 medications, allergy care plans, and 6 children's records and 5 staff records were reviewed.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
