Licensing Inspector conducted an unannounced CODE Compliance Inspection on 11/16/2023 There were 2 children ages 6- and 12-years old present under the direct care of 2 staff. The Licensing Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review of two staff persons, the center failed to ensure that required background checks are repeated every 5 years per the Code of Virginia.
Evidence: 1.Staff # 1 had a fingerprint eligibility letter dated 10/28/2018. An updated fingerprint eligibility letter was not provided. 2. Staff # 2 had a fingerprint eligibility letter dated 10/23/2018. An updated fingerprint eligibility letter was not provided.
