Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:20am to 12pm. There were 71 (7mos to 5yrs) directly supervised by 13 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, no children's medications and medication authorization records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, listening to stories, playing outside. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was a sufficient supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Based on observation, the facility did not ensure that areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. Evidence: observed peeling paint in the Prep A classroom, along the side wall and the SACC classroom around the side window sill.
