Technical Assistance:
Licensing inspector discussed the emergency plan, background check requirements and the new website with the provider.
Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 12:30pm-1:40pm. There were 10 children in the direct care and supervision of 3 caregivers. A sample of 3 children?s records, and 3 caregivers records were reviewed. The children were observed eating, and preparing to nap. Zero new staff have been hired since the last inspection. Based on record review, a caregiver of a family day home did not have a complete out of state sex offender search and a complete out of state central registry search.
Evidence: Caregiver A has lived outside of Virginia within the last 5 years and did not have a complete out of state sex offender search and a complete out of state central registry search for the previous state of residency.
