Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 02/08/24 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:47 a.m. with the provider. There were four children in care, ranging in age from three to five-years-old, for a total of seven points. Children were observed building with blocks and playing in home living. Six child records, one staff record, and one household member record were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. No medications were on site and the provider understands that they must obtain certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to give medication. Breakfast served was Cereal, apples, banana and milk. The first aid kit, flashlight, weather band radio, and fire extinguisher were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Based on record review and interview, the provider did not obtain a fingerprint-based background check report every five years from the date of the last check.
Evidence: The record for household member # 1 had a fingerprint-based background check dated 01/03/19.
