Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on Monday, November 18, 2019 between 10:40 am to 1:50 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. During this inspection, there were 49 children and 11 staff present at the center including administrative staff. The licensing inspector completed observations of the children in care participating in a variety of activities to include engaging in active play with age appropriate equipment, sleeping in cribs, transitioning indoors from outdoor play, participating in a painting activity, dancing to interactive music, completing bathroom breaks, playing at outdoor playground area, and eating lunch. The children's lunch today consisted of turkey/ham and cheese, green beans, and pears, milk. The center's playground areas and designated children care equipment and areas were inspected. There were five children?s records and seven staff's record reviewed during this inspection.The first aid kit and emergency supplies, posted emergency contacts, emergency drills were reviewed by the inspector. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Based on review of staff records and interview with staff, the center did not ensure to obtain tuberculosis screening results within the required timeframe.
Evidence: In Staff#6's record (start date: 10/30/19), the TB results available were dated 7/29/19. Interview with staff confirmed the TB results available for review during inspection.
Plan of Correction:
The center will ensure staff complete TB by end of the week.
