Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 9:15 am ? 10:15 am with the provider. There were five children present at the beginning of the inspection and then a sixth child arrived. Children in care ranged from nine months to five years of age for a total of 15 points. The children were observed playing with a variety of age-appropriate toys. Required information was posted. Reviewed four child records, three provider/household member records, the emergency drill log, attendance, menu and annual training. The provider is not Medication Administration Training (MAT) certified and cannot administer prescription medication to children in care. If you have questions regarding this inspection, contact Donna Liberman at 540-359-5244 or email Donna.Liberman@doe.virginia.gov.
Based on review of three provider/household member records, and an interview with the provider, not all providers/household members had a current Tuberculosis (TB) screening/test every two years as required. Evidence: the record for caregiver #1 and household member #2 had TB tests/screenings dated: 12/21/2020.
Plan of Correction:
Provider stated that they will obtain updated TB tests/screenings.
