Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection on Monday, January 13, 2020 between 10:50 am to 12:35 pm to determine compliance with licensing standards. The licensing inspector observed 24 children being supervised by 5 staff including the site supervisor. During the inspection, the licensing inspector conducted observations of the children in care participating in various activities to rotating in a variety of centers, working on #5, completing bathroom breaks, interacting with peers and staff, and transitioning to gym area. The program's designated childcare areas, bathroom were inspected. The required postings were reviewed. The first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. There were five children's records reviewed by the inspector. The licensing inspector reviewed six staff's emergency contact and required certificates of completion. Medication is being administered, medications, and written authorizations were reviewed for the center's compliance. Description: Based on review of emergency drills log and interview with staff, the center did not ensure to practice a minimum of two shelter-in-place practice drills per year.

Evidence:
1. A review of shelter-in-place log revealed one practice drill completed on 09/18/2019 for 2019.
2. Interview with staff confirmed the one drill documented for shelter-in-place for 2019.
3. Exhibit A photograph of 2019 emergency drills log.

Plan of Correction: The Center Supervisor will ensure the shelter-in-place drills are logged upon completion.
