Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on January 3, 2023 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Based on a review of staff records, the center failed to obtain within the first 90 days of employment or subsidy vendor approval all staff who work directly with children shall complete Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff.
Evidence: Staff #2, #3 and #4's records do not contain documentation of completing Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff.
