Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection, at which the building, records, and all other related areas were reviewed. Staff and children files and other documentation were reviewed. Please contact me if you need further assistance. Thank you for your cooperation. This inspection began at 11 am and concluded at 12:30 pm.
Based on review of the facility the facility failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required relating to standing water.
Evidence: The poured in place "kiddie" pool outside had standing greenish-black water in it during the inspection. The children did not use the area, but had direct access to the area through the back door of the multi-purpose room. This posed a health and drowning hazard.
Plan of Correction:
Administration and maintenance will come up with a solution as soon as possible to ensure the safety and health of the children in care. Licensing will be notified of the plan once it has been approved by the cooperate officer.
