Technical Assistance:
Discussed potty training and will need to request for AV if diaper surface is not being used. Staff need to hand washing between each time assisting a child in the bathroom. Recommended to develop procedures for bathroom time management.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:15pm- 1:51pm. At the time of entrance, 28 children were in care with 8 staff members present. Additional staff were available to assist. The sample size consisted of 3 children?s records and 3 staff records. Children were observed eating lunch, outside side freely playing and bathroom break.
Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure restroom were equipped with toilet paper within reach of children.
Evidence: In the first bathroom on your right, there was no toilet paper. When there was a bathroom break staff confirmed there was not toilet paper in the bathroom.
