Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 7/6/2020 and concluded on 7/7/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 9 children present and 3 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Based on the review of the paperwork for two staff it was determined that the provider failed to get the required fingerprint check for one employee. Evidence: The provider did not have the OBI fingerprints for a staff member hired on 6/30/2020, staff 2, at the time of the renewal
Plan of Correction:
I was waiting to schedule this to after the holiday weekend, her fingerprint appointment is on 7/11/2020 and i will send the letter with the results as soon as I receive it to the licensing inspector.
