8VAC20-790 SUBSIDY REGULATIONS.
Comments:
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on 03/29/2022. There were 27 children present with 4 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on record review, caregivers who work directly with children did not annually attend the department's health and safety update course. Evidence: 1) There is no documentation in the record for Staff #2 of having completed the health and safety update course for the years 2020 and 2021. The most recent health and safety update course certificate in the record for Staff #2 was dated 06/15/2019..
Plan of Correction:
Spoke with the teacher to provide certification upon completion.
