Comments:
An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with a renewal study from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. There were 36 children in care being supervised by 7 staff members. Ten children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Staff records were reviewed for completion of CPR, First Aid, and Virginia Pre-service Training. An allergy list was reviewed for children enrolled with diagnosed food allergies. Allergy care plans were reviewed for children with diagnosed food allergies. Based on review of the food allergy list and review of ten children's records it was determined that not all children with a diagnosed food allergy had a written allergy care plan on file. Evidence: Child A, B, and C had documentation in their files of having a diagnosed food allergy however, they did not have an allergy care plan on file.
Plan of Correction:
Administration will obtain an allergy care plan from the parents of child A, B, and C.
