Technical Assistance:
The licensing inspector and director discussed the storage of cleaning materials.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the director on April 4, 2022 beginning at 10:15 AM and ending at 1:10 PM. There were 110 children, ages 5 through 11 years, in the care of 17 staff. The children were observed doing educational work and engaged in classroom discussions. Six children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Five staff records were reviewed and in compliance. Six medications were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather-band radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent evacuation drill was documented as 3/21/22. The most recent shelter-in-place was documented as 1/6/222. The most recent fire inspection was dated 2/14/22. The most recent health inspection was dated 1/18/22.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-D
Description: Based on observation, the facility did not ensure that all cleaning and sanitizing materials were not stored in the same physical area as food. Evidence: In the second grade classroom there were 4 containers of Clorox wipes and 2 cans of Microban stored on the same shelf as snacks.

Plan of Correction: The director spoke with the classroom teacher regarding the storage of cleaning and sanitizing materials. The food will be stored in a separate area from cleaning and sanitizing materials. The cleaning materials will be stored in a locked cabinet and was moved during the inspection.
