Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection to review the requirements for religiously exempt programs was conducted on 2/17/2022. At the time of entrance, the following adult to child ratios were observed: 10 children, ages 4 to 5 years old, with 1 staff 6 children, ages 3 to 4 years old, with 2 staff Areas where the children enrolled in the Religious Exempt program are cared for were inspected. Children were observed interacting with staff and engaged in educational activities and free play during this inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice.
Based on record review and interview it was determined all staff had not received training on recognizing the signs of child abuse. Evidence: 1. The records for staff #5 and staff #6 did not contain documentation of child abuse and neglect mandated reporter training. 2. Staff confirmed that staff #5 and staff #6 had not completed this training yet.
Plan of Correction:
Staff #5 and #6 will complete the required training.
