The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 08/07/20 and concluded on 08/11/20. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 10 children, totaling 24 points present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 provider records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on observation the provider did not ensure there were child-resistant covers on all unused electrical outlets. Evidence: There was an electrical outlet in the children's bathroom that did not have a cover.
Plan of Correction:
The following corrective action was provider by the licensee during the exit interview: The electrical outlet was capped during the inspection.
