Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 04/19/2021 and concluded on 04/30/21. The in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 36 children present and 10 staff. The inspector emailed the in-charge person a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on a record review the center did not ensure all staff had the results of a negative tuberculosis screening. Evidence: Staff #2, hired 03/01/21, did not have documentation of having a tuberculosis test read.
Plan of Correction:
This was an oversight. Staff #2 will follow-up on the result of the test or have another screening completed.
