Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program. A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 12/2/21. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 10 daycare children and 1 resident child (31 points) present, ranging from infants to 4 years old, with 2 caregivers supervising. The children were observed sleeping in cribs, playing with table top toys and doing circle time. The provider is currently not providing meals and snacks; and children are bringing food from home. There were no medications on site. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 children's records and 2 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. For any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at mahrukh.aziz@doe.virginia.gov or 571-835-4718.
Based on observation, milk bottles for children in care were not labeled and dated. Evidence: A milk bottle stored in the refrigerator for one infant was not labeled with the child's full name and date.
Plan of Correction:
Bottles will be checked for labeling.
