A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today from 11:20am through 2:10pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 28 children were present with 6 caregivers. The children were engaged in the following: eating lunch and napping. Feeding and diapering was also observed for infants. Programming, menus, emergency procedures, allergy action plans and 6 children?s records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
