Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included a more secure means of storage of family items in the bathroom and closet and tight fitting crib sheets for cribs. Remember to document proof of identification with date, birth certificate and signature on the enrollment form.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection took place this morning. There were 7 children in care for 16 points with the provider and assistant. I observed an enthusiastic interactive circle and play time that involved stories, songs and fingerplays that captured the children's attention. Concepts covered included colors, animal sounds, alphabet, counting, book themes and much more.Record keeping was well-organized. Outdoor areas were not inspected today. Based on a review of emergency practice drills, fire drills were practiced as required but there was no documentation of shelter-in-place drills in 2019 or 2018.

Based on observation during today's inspection, there were some areas of the playroom that were in need of repair Evidence: There was some flaking paint on the ceiling, and dark marks on the ceiling.

The ceiling got wet from the rain. I will call someone today and have my husband work on it over the weekend.
