A supplemental health and safety inspection was completed on August 16, 2019 from approximately 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Fifty-seven children were in care, twenty-three school age children arrived from a field trip during the inspection, and approximately fourteen staff were on premises during the inspection. Staff and children were observed in classrooms engaged in activities to include arrival at the center, activities for infants, nap time, and snack time. Interviews and interactions were conducted and medications were reviewed. Eight children?s records and six staff records were reviewed. The Assistant Director and Director were available for the inspection and present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found
