Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted on January 23, 2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Licensing inspector arrived at 10:45 am and departed at 12:45 pm to conduct a Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection. There were 24 children present upon arrival to the center with five staff members. Additional staff arrived throughout the course of the inspection. The children were observed watching movies and eating lunch. Five children's records were reviewed. Six staff records were reviewed. The exit interview was conducted with the Program Director.
A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Based on record review and staff interview, the vendor did not ensure lockdown procedures were practiced at least annually.
Evidence: The vendor did not complete a lock down drill in 2019.
Plan of Correction:
A lockdown drill will be completed annually.
