Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/31/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 9:50am-11:20am. There were 26 children in the direct care and supervision of 7 staff. A sample of 5 children?s records, 5 staff records and 5 minor injury logs were reviewed. The children were observed drawing, engaged with staff, preparing to go outside and being dismissed. Four new staff members have been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the administrator. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Based on record review, all staff who work directly with children did not have a current CPR and first aid training.
Evidence: Staff D, hired 10/21/2019, did not have a current CPR and first aid training.
Plan of Correction:
Staff D is scheduled for CPR and First Aid training on February 29th 2020. I will forward certificate once received.
