Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 1:20pm-2:30pm. There were 7 children (28 points) in the direct care and supervision of 2 caregivers. A sample size of 3 children's records, 4 provider/householdmember records, evacuation drills, the day care space, and emergency materials were reviewed. The children were observed taking a nap, being held as they were fed bottles, and playing with toys. If you have any questions, please contact me at shahana.green@dss.virginia.gov . Thank you.
Based on observation, the family day home did not have an adequate number of cribs available for children.
Evidence:
1. 7 children in care during the inspection were under 12 months of age and would need a crib, however, there were only 6 cribs available and one child was observed to be sleeping on a cot.
Plan of Correction:
I will get another crib.
