Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 6/10/2021 and concluded on 6/11/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 13 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 children?s records, 2 staff records, and 2 board officer records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Based on record review, the center did not maintain documentation of current public liability insurance for bodily injury.
Evidence: Evidence of current public liability insurance for bodily injury was not available at the time of inspection.

Based on record review and staff interview, the center did not obtain a Sworn Disclosure Statement or the results of a Virginia Central Registry for Child Abuse and Neglect search for all board officers.
Evidence: Board Officer #2 does not have a Sworn Disclosure Statement or the reults of a Virginia Central Registry for Child Abuse and Neglect search on file.
