Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 4/9/2024.There were 8 children present with 2 staff supervising. The children were observed during snack time, morning opening time and engaged in various centers in the class room. A total of 5 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:20 am and concluded at 10:20 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review and staff interview the center did not ensure to obtain a copy of the results of a criminal history search or equivalent registry from any state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years.
Evidence: The director confirmed that staff #2's (start date 3/6/2024) record did not contain documentation of an out of state criminal record checks for California and Nevada.
Plan of Correction:
HR manager will ensure that all background checks in-state and out of state will be completed before all staff begin work.
