Comments:
An unannounced complaint inspection was conducted on 12/04/2019 from approximately 11:00 A.M.-1:30 P.M. in regards to a concern reported to the Valley Licensing Office on 11/22/2019. Two staff records, and one children record were reviewed, four staff members were interviewed, and classroom observations took place. The information gathered during the investigation does not support the allegation, so the allegation is determined to be "not valid". There was one violation cited not related to the allegation. The exemptions to compliance are noted on the violation notice.

Description: Based on observation and interview, the center failed to enusre that in each grouping of children at least one staff member meets the qualifications of a program leader or program director.

Evidence:
1. Staff #1 was present in Classroom #1 with nine three year old children by herself, and did not meet the qualifications of a program leader or program director.
2. Staff #2 was present in Classroom #2 with eight four year old children by herself, and did not meet the qualifications of a program leader or program director.
3. Staff verified that Staff #1 and Staff #2 did not meet the qualifications of a program leader or program director. Both staff members had six months programmatic experience, but had not completed the required training hours.

Plan of Correction: Administration will have staff complete the required training needed to meet the program lead requirement, and the staff will not be left alone in a group of children until all requirements are completed.
