Technical Assistance:
technical assistance was provided in the following areas: Emergency procedures and supplies, child records, and carbon monoxide detectors.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 7/14/22 from 10:45am - 12:15pm. During the time of the inspection there were two children in care with one caregiver present. Records were reviewed for eight children and one caregiver/household member. Children were observed playing with toys. The provider stated there are no medications being administered at this time. Emergency plan and emergency supplies were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program, and were discussed with the provider during the exit interview.
Based on a review of eight child records, it was determined that the provider did not ensure that all child records contain all of the required items.
Evidence: 1. The record for child #2 did not contain a physical examination. 2. The record for child #4 did not contain a physical examination. 3. The record for child #6 did not contain a physical examination. 4. The record for child #7 did not contain an emergency contact or proof of identity. 5. The record for child #8 did not contain a physical examination, an emergency contact or proof of identity.
Plan of Correction:
The provider responded: The parents of each child will be asked to provide the missing information.

Description:
Based on a review of the Health and Safety Checklist, it was determined that the provider did not ensure that monthly practice evacuation drills are conducted.
Evidence: 1. The emergency drill log did not have any emergency evacuation practice drills documented for the months of May 2022 and June 2022. 2. Caregiver #1 confirmed that there was not an emergency evacuation practice drill completed for the months of May 2022 and June 2022.
Plan of Correction:
The provider responded: A practice emergency evacuation drill will be completed each month.
