Comments:
A renewal inspection was initiated on 8/9/2022 and concluded on 8/9/2022. There were a total of 10 children ( 28 points) observed with 3 caregivers present. The children were engaged in the following: blocks, indoor climber and outside play. A total of 3 child records and 3 caregiver/household member records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation and provider interview, the climbing portions of indoor slides and climbing equipment over 18 inches was over bare floor. Evidence: The indoor climber equipment which measured approximately 4 1/2 feet tall was over bare floor. From the floor to the platform of the slide measured approximately 2 feet but 2 sides of the climber had wooden rod steps and rock steps that went as high as 4 1/2 feet high. The children, ages 19 months- 2 years were observed climbing on this equipment with a caregiver directly supervising.
Plan of Correction:
The children will not be allowed on the climbing equipment until proper surfacing is provided under and around the climber.
