Comments:
The Licensing Inspector conducted an unannounced complaint inspection in response to a complaint that was received by the licensing office on August 12, 2019. Interviews were conducted with staff relating to the allegations of child to staff ratios and inappropriate discipline. The information gathered during this investigation supports parts of the allegation, so the complaint is determined to be valid. Based on observation, the center is not maintaining one staff for every eight children in the two year and older class.
Evidence: The two, three and four year old children were grouped together with 2 teachers.
At 9:15 there were 17 children, ages 2-4 years with 2 staff.
At 9:22 there were 18 children, ages 2-4 years with 2 staff.
Plan of Correction:
We have 2 teachers and a Director starting next Monday. We have borrowed 2 staff from another center that usually are here by 9:00. This morning they were running late, arrived at 9:30 this morning.
