Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
Health and Safety inspection was conducted review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 16 children in care with three staff. Children present ranged in age from 18 months to 10 years old. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Based on information provided the vendor failed to demonstrate that each staff had completed all required training with the allotted time frame. Evidence: 1 - Three out of three staff records reviewed do not have any documentation that the required preservice training was completed by the staff within the allotted time frame. a. Staff 2 has a documented date of hire as February 4, 2019. b. Staff 3 has a documented date of hire as November 4, 2019. c. The date of hire for staff 4 was not available.
