Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on June 5, 2020 and concluded on June 8, 2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were four children present and one staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children?s records, one staff record, and one household member record submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on a review of the caregiver and household records and interview, the provider did not update central registry checks every five years following the last search of the central registry.
Evidence: 1. The record for caregiver #1 contained a central registry dated 09/22/2014. 2. The record for household member #1 contained a central registry dated 09/22/2014. 3. The provider reported that the central registry search had been requested for caregiver #1 and household member #1 on 12/20/2019. 4. The provider reported that the central registry search had some missing information and was returned and the updated central registry had not been received as of 6/08/2020.
