Technical Assistance:
Consultation was provided regarding the outside playground area.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between the hours of 9:35am through 10:45am. There were a total of 4 children present ages 2 through 4 years (8 points) with the Provider. A total of 3 children?s files, the provider's file, 1 household member?s file, and 1 pet file were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: playing with dolls, cars, and other age appropriate toys. Positive interactions between the provider and children were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the programming space, outdoor playground area, children and staff records, evacuation drills, attendance, and emergency procedures and supplies were completed today. The provider advised there was no medication on site today. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials and toys and the home was very clean and organized. The provider is current in CPR/First Aid certification. Areas of non-compliance are outlined on the Violation Notice. Based on record review, the provider did not obtain updated tuberculosis (TB) tests or screenings for each caregiver and adult household member every two years.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1's most recent TB test was dated 4/27/17.
2. Adult Household Member #1's most recent TB test was dated 4/27/17.
Plan of Correction:
We will get updated TB tests by next week.
